$120,000 bull tops PB Fenech Brahman sale

26 Oct, 2008 01:38 PM
Brahman bulls hit a season high of $120,000 at last night's PB Fenech Brahman sale at Sarina, Qld.

It was a new record for vendors Paul and Brigid Fenech, The Chase, Sarina, who sold the bull at their annual on-property sale.

The sale grossed more than $1 million for 81 lots, including 10 heifers.

The market-topper was PBF Harper Manso 853-7 (AI, ET), a 26-month-old grey.

It was bought by a partnership of Michael Jacobs, Chesterfield Brahmans, Roma, and Tony and Darren Brown, of Pioneer Park Brahmans and Pioneer Park D Division Brahmans, Mackay.

The bull weighed in at 930kg, and scanned measurements of 128sq cm at the eye muscle, 18mm and 10mm for fat, and an intra-muscular fat measurement of 4.4.
