Spry's Shorthorn bulls hit $10,000 top

04 Aug, 2008 04:25 PM
Three bulls secured the top spot of $10,000 at the Spry's Shorthorn bull sale held on-property at Tamworth, NSW, on Friday.

All of the 39 Shorthorn sires on offer were sold for a $5263 average.

The eight selected Shorthorn/Charolais bulls sold to $5000 and averaged $3813.

Stud principal, Matt Spry, said this year's draft of bulls were the most even line they had ever produced.

"The sale was definitely solid with a lot of commercial interest, the more muscular, easy doing, good value for money types had bids flying at the sale," Mr Spry said.
