The medium steer, Japan Ox and feeder steer indicators all improved 1¢/kg.
And the US Cow indicator held firm at 136¢/kg.
Trade steers improved 2¢/kg to finish at 176¢/kg.
At Dalby in Queensland, MLA reports numbers improved, as did quality in a firm to dearer market.
Calves lifted 13¢ to average 204¢/kg.
Vealer steers sold 5¢ cheaper with heifers to the trade averaging 4¢ better at 192¢/kg.
Lightweight yearling steers averaged 192¢ while medium weight feeders averaged 6¢/kg dearer.
At Warwick improved prices encouraged numbers with overall quality mixed.
Lightweight calves to restockers reached 236¢ while vealer steers averaged 197¢/kg.
Medium weight feeder steers averaged 181¢ - reaching 207¢ - with medium weight yearling heifers selling to 185¢ to average 183¢/kg.
Steers and bullocks gained 9¢ to 13¢, and cow prices improved 4¢ to 6¢/kg.
Export slaughter lines of steers and bullocks improved 2¢ to 4¢/kg.
Cow prices gained 4¢/kg.
In NSW, at Casino numbers remained firm with the quality of young cattle improving.
Lightweight yearlings were down 5-7¢ while heavyweights remained firm, to top at 178¢/kg.
Grown steers and heifers were firm with medium weight cows selling 3-4¢/kg cheaper.
