Angus tastes success in Ekka interbreed

09 Aug, 2008 04:32 PM
The Angus breed tasted success at this week's Brisbane Royal Show, winning both the male and female interbreed titles.

Amongst hundreds of cattle from 35 breeds, the bull title went to Ben Nevis Arod A97, exhibited by Bruce Steel and family of Walcha NSW.

The black bull is 35 months old and won the prize just ahead of the Shorthorn and Limousin.

In the females, the Red Angus GK Red Aranell A30 won out ahead just ahead of the Charolais and Simmental.

The bull is owned by Gavin Iseppi and family of Dalby.
