Sheep markets: Restocker wrestler

31 Jul, 2008 02:46 PM
A small yarding of sheep at Jamestown, SA, last week, coupled with much stronger grazier demand, pushed prices on most categories up by $10/head.

Just 7000 sheep were yarded for the sale, concentrating demand and testing the resolve of buyers.

Many of them had travelled a long way and were clearly reluctant to go home empty-handed.

Among the southern visitors tussling to secure lines of sheep were Les and Damien Heym, Peake, SA.
