The latest fully-integrated front and rear-mounted spraying system from Amazone “ticks all the boxes” when it comes to flexibility, convenience and performance, according to its Australian distributor.
Landpower Australia product manager, Justin Fisher, says the new FT1001 unit combines the manoeuvrability of rear-mounted sprayers with the large capacity of many trailed sprayers but is considerably cheaper than a self-propelled machine.
The system is based on Amazone’s UF series of rear-mounted sprayers available in four tank sizes ranging from 1050 to 1980L.
However, the addition of an FT1001 front tank increases the total capacity to a maximum of nearly 3000L.
Filling, agitation, spraying and cleaning operations in both tanks are managed by the exclusive AMATRON+ on-board computer system.
An electronic fill management system ensures the homogenisation of the spray liquid in both tanks.
Depending on the fill level, product is pumped via two high capacity injectors into the front tank or, conversely, returned to the rear tank.
Weight is automatically maintained on the front axle until the volume in the rear tank has dropped sufficiently, thereby improving traction, steering and stability.
The UF units can be fitted with booms ranging from 15 to 28m wide and utilise high grade quality components, including stainless steel wherever possible.
“Each section can be folded independently of the other, allowing the convenience of single-side or even partial-width spraying,” Mr Fisher said.
“The compact design means even the widest booms fold down to just 2.4m, allowing fast and safe transport,” he added.
Justin says the FT1001 system is ideal for use in a wide range of spraying situations.
“The improved manoeuvrability and stability means it is particularly suitable for smaller, undulating or awkward-shaped paddocks often found in mixed farming enterprises,” he says.
The Amazone range of sprayers, spreading, cultivation and seeding equipment is distributed in Australia by Landpower Australia, which also distributes Claas and Grimme machinery.
