DPI Victoria staff were highly commended for the paper they contributed to the Extension Farming Systems Journal at a recent conference in Armidale, NSW.
The Australian Pacific Extension Network Conference saw the team awarded for the Enabling Decision Support (EDS) approach to delivering a farm planning project.
Group spokesman Carl Sudholz, DPI Horsham, said the EDS methodology had helped DPI expand its FarmPlan21 farm planning project to more than 400 farmers since 2009.
"FarmPlan21 supports Victorian farmers to identify and prioritise management issues, develop personal goals and action plans and access technical expertise," he said.
