Hunt for Shepparton attempted abductors

25 Feb, 2010 08:19 AM
POLICE are hunting for two men who tried to abduct a 15-year-old Victorian student on her way home from school in Shepparton.

The girl was in Nolan Court at 3.40pm yesterday when a light-green Holden Commodore pulled up beside her.

Police said a man got out of the car and grabbed the girl by the arm and throat and tried to force her into the vehicle. But she kicked him in the genitals.

He let her go, got back in the car and fled. The girl was shaken but unharmed, police said.

Investigators believe the car has damage to the driver's side panel.

The men are described as Aboriginal in appearance and in their 20s.
