Telstra cuts not good: Cobb

13/10/2008 2:07:00 PM
Telstra staff numbers at Orange in the NSW Central West will be cut by almost 30 per cent.

Calare MP John Cobb met with Telstra's general manager for the NSW Western Region, Chris Taylor, last week to discuss the cull.

The eighteen staff, excluding field workers, in Orange will be reduced by five.

"We are losing administration and project managers because administration is being centralised," Mr Cobb said.

"Clearly any job losses should be avoided."
