AUSTRALIAN dairy company Murray Goulburn Co-operative Ltd will occupy a new purpose built office building being constructed on Vaughan Street at Essendon Fields Business Park - a 305 hectare business park located in the North West of Melbourne.
Established in Victoria in 1950, Murray Goulburn Co-Operative is 100% Australian dairy farmer-owned and is well known as one of Victoria’s largest exporters and for its famous Devondale retail brand.
“After thirty years at our Brunswick site it was apparent that the offices were no longer suitable. Following a comprehensive review we decided to relocate to the Essendon Field’s site” said Murray Goulburn’s Managing Director Stephen O’Rourke.
The development will be a three story office building, which offers large floor plate accommodating, innovative business desires including the most up-to-date communications, IT and environmental aspects together with parking for approx. 200 cars. The site will have a strong corporate image, combining unique design and ecological-friendly elements designed to achieve a 4.5 star NABERS Energy Rating. Every work space will have a clear view of the outside world with an abundance of natural light.
“For us several factors drove the decision to relocate to Essendon Fields Business Park including competitive rental rates and the close proximity to the arterials for staff and regional visitors” Mr O’Rourke said.
“The new building will be constructed and fitted out over the coming twelve months. Our staff are looking forward to the new modern work environment and we look also forward to hosting many of our dairy farmers and business partners at the site from the second half of 2012.”
Rob Whitwell, GM Development at Essendon Fields stated, “We’re thrilled to have one of Australia’s most prominent organisations Murray Goulburn, relocate to our energy efficient Business Park, which represents one of the largest commercial office & retail developments in the fringe area of Melbourne.”
Other tenants include prominent organisations Linfox, Armaguard, Australia Post, IMA, Worksafe Victoria and Visy.
“A commitment from leading organisations underpins Essendon Fields as a state-of-the-art Business Park. The market is not only demanding A-grade standard characteristics but environmentally sensitive buildings that meet today’s obligations to the environment and the wider community. Responsible companies recognise they have a duty to occupy a building that achieves ecological sustainability,” Rob Whitwell, GM Development, Essendon Fields said.
Essendon Fields Business Park is home to more than 250 tenants and over 4,000 workers (including Murray Goulburn).
