CVON headed for Tokyo organic festival

22/09/2008 12:26:00 PM
Representatives from the Central Victorian Organic Network (CVON) are departing for Tokyo on Monday to attend Biofach 08, one of the world’s biggest organic industry events held annually over three days.

CVON under its network brand ‘Puralia’ (or ‘Pure Australia’) will be exhibiting along with other Australian organic companies, featuring a wide variety of food, beverages and condiments.

CVON President Craig Sobey said the event is a high point in the international organic industry calendar.

The event's organisers, Everett-Jones, Iijima and Ishizaki have been importing Australian organic produce for their Japanese clients for over fifteen years, many of whom operate some of the most prestigious restaurants in Japan and are keen to source premium quality certified products that suit the Japanese style of cooking and palette.

Robinvale Organic and Biodynamic Wines (a network member), will be also promoting the emerging organic wine sector, which on recent trips to China in June proved to be of enormous interest to premium wine importers.

CVON is proud to be chosen as supplier of Certified Organic Beef for the Gala Expo Dinner to celebrate the arrival of attendees to the exhibition, many of whom will travel across the globe to support this peak industry event.

Craig Sobey President of CVON said: “We were chosen because of our emergence as a force within the Australian Organic Industry and our ability to access large volumes of certified organic lamb, beef, pork and poultry across our Australia wide network”.
