Money for quality at Euroa store sale

EUROA’S small yarding contained a number of top quality lines which kept prices firm and to a top of $740 for 51 Angus steers.

The line averaged $663 and was closely followed by a top of $615 or 198 cents a kilogram on MA Sinclair’s 13 Angus, with Brolga Plains fetching $570 or 200c/kg for 14 Angus, 12 months.

Cows and calves topped at $1210 for four Angus heifers with three to four month calves at foot sold by Riley and Taylor and Yaralla, Starthmerton sold 12 Hereford-Freisian heifers with calves one to four months at foot at $940.

Joined heifers reached $840 for 49 Angus, average $766 for Ardroy South.

Heifers sold to $590 or 160c/kg for nine Angus.
