Measured expectations were the key to success at Warrnambool cattle sale on Friday where the market was dominated by local restockers and several buyers operating on behalf of the traditional feedlotters of Western Victoria and southern NSW.
New season weaner steers sold solidly from 173-187c/kg (live), weaner heifers to $470 a head, older steers from 160-165c/kg, yearling steers to 173c/kg and cows and calves to $1140 per unit.
